MA in Photography, Falmouth University, Module 3, Surfaces and Strategies, Week 7
Today I met Palm Laboratories – a photographic printer based in central Birmingham to discuss the four selected images for my exhibition. For the first time I have chosen Kodak Endura metallic paper for the prints, which has a coating that contains minute metal fragments that create a high gloss finish which is effective even behind glass.
I have made the decision to exhibit in a ‘high value’ methodology that is appropriate to the setting of the restaurant where the exhibition will take place as the series of 2 D art and photography is framed throughout. The choice of frame and colour was discussed with the restaurant owners and we agreed that my established method, clean cut, square edges, black frames will be most appropriate.
Having agreed a turnaround time I have booked the framing company to ensure that I can receive the set of frames prints back in time for hanging before 11th August, according to my project plan.
